I’m Brin and I’ve been a registered foot and hand reflexologist (RCRT™) with the Reflexology Association of Canada since 2011.
My journey to reflexology began a long time ago. Actually, with a motorcycle accident in Greece in December, 1979. I was a passenger on a motorcycle and we were side-swiped by a small Datsun truck. My left knee-cap and femur were shattered on impact, and the tibia and fibula were broken when I stopped flying through the air. After many surgeries and bone grafts (ten in total) over three years, I was able to walk without the aid of a leg brace, crutches, and lastly, a cane. I had a horrible limp for decades until 2009 when I had total knee replacement surgery and things were finally aligned – a huge relief I might add.
Through-out the years, I have lived with chronic pain: my leg, neck, lower back, arms and shoulders. In 2006, I found two therapies which helped ease the debilitating pain: reflexology and acupuncture.
This was a game-changer for the relief of my chronic pain and instrumental in my becoming a registered reflexology practitioner. I practice what I preach.
It is my wish that through reflexology, you too, can experience a sense of well-being, and pain reduction.
Warmly,
Brin
